Tane Uribarren is a Toronto based multi-disciplinary artist. Her art is inspired on her life experiences, and most of her work is a reflection of her emotions. She has lived a very special, interesting life, which has given her a unique perspective that she naturally expresses through art.

Tane has a diverse background. She was born in Mexico and has a mixed background, predominantly Basque. She has lived in Canada, The US, Australia, Italy and Argentina, and is married to an Australian-Italian.
Tane grew up surrounded by many forms of art, with both her parents being part of the entertainment industry. She started producing and selling her own drawings, paintings and sculptures locally at the age of six. From around the same age, she started to gain recognition as a great storyteller at school and later at work, being awarded “Best Storyteller of the Year” in several yearly awards.
Even though it was her passion, she was highly discouraged by her father from pursuing an artistic career, motivating her to take the course of the corporate business world instead.
Never wanting to really deviate herself from a creativity focused path, she undertook a career in marketing and advertising, gaining experience in TV production, media content creation, and event coordination.
She has had a successful career in business, having worked as a leader for the top global consulting firm and earned an MBA from a top school, but has slowly started to shift her focus on dedicating her life to art.
Recently, she operated her own art studio and gallery in Mexico City, showcasing the works of various artists before moving to Canada, and Australia, where she
completed art courses,
an interior design diploma, and a graduate diploma in TV writing and Producing.
Lately, she has focussed her creativity in TV and film writing, producing, and directing.
Tane is an advocate for animal rights and currently has three adopted pets, one fiery Chihuahua and two cool cats.
